BNV : পরে পলেষ্টীয়রা ইস্রায়েলের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধের জন্য সৈন্য সংগ্রহ করতে লাগল| আখীশ দায়ূদকে বললেন, “লোকদের নিয়ে তুমি আমার সঙ্গে ইস্রায়েলীয়দের বিরুদ্ধে যাবে, বুঝতে পেরেছ?”
KJV : And it came to pass in those days, that the Philistines gathered their armies together for warfare, to fight with Israel. And Achish said unto David, Know thou assuredly, that thou shalt go out with me to battle, thou and thy men.
YLT : And it cometh to pass in those days, that the Philistines gather their camps for the war, to fight against Israel, and Achish saith unto David, `Thou dost certainly know that with me thou dost go out into the camp, thou and thy men.`
RV : And it came to pass in those days, that the Philistines gathered their hosts together for warfare, to fight with Israel. And Achish said unto David, Know thou assuredly, that thou shalt go out with me in the host, thou and thy men.
RSV : In those days the Philistines gathered their forces for war, to fight against Israel. And Achish said to David, "Understand that you and your men are to go out with me in the army."
ASV : And it came to pass in those days, that the Philistines gathered their hosts together for warfare, to fight with Israel. And Achish said unto David, Know thou assuredly, that thou shalt go out with me in the host, thou and thy men.
ESV : In those days the Philistines gathered their forces for war, to fight against Israel. And Achish said to David, "Understand that you and your men are to go out with me in the army."
ERVEN : Later, the Philistines gathered their armies to fight against Israel. Achish said to David, "Do you understand that you and your men must go with me to fight against Israel?"

BNV : দায়ূদ বললেন, “নিশ্চয়ই, দেখবেন আমি কি করি|” আখীশ বললেন, “বেশ! তুমি হবে আমার দেহরক্ষী| সবসময় তুমি আমাকে রক্ষা করবে|”
KJV : And David said to Achish, Surely thou shalt know what thy servant can do. And Achish said to David, Therefore will I make thee keeper of mine head for ever.
YLT : And David saith unto Achish, `Therefore -- thou dost know that which thy servant dost do.` And Achish saith unto David, `Therefore -- keeper of my head I do appoint thee all the days.`
RV : And David said to Achish, Therefore thou shalt know what thy servant will do. And Achish said to David, Therefore will I make thee keeper of mine head for ever.
RSV : David said to Achish, "Very well, you shall know what your servant can do." And Achish said to David, "Very well, I will make you my bodyguard for life."
ASV : And David said to Achish, Therefore thou shalt know what thy servant will do. And Achish said to David, Therefore will I make thee keeper of my head for ever.
ESV : David said to Achish, "Very well, you shall know what your servant can do." And Achish said to David, "Very well, I will make you my bodyguard for life."
ERVEN : David answered, "Certainly, then you can see for yourself what I can do." Achish said, "Fine, I will make you my permanent bodyguard."

BNV : শমূয়েল মারা গেল| তার মৃত্যুতে ইস্রায়েলীয়রা সকলেই শোক প্রকাশ করল| তারা তাকে তার নিজের দেশ রামায় কবর দিলযারা প্রেতাত্মা নামায আর ভবিষ্যত্‌ বলতে পারে তাদের সকলকে শৌল বলপূর্বক ইস্রাযেল থেকে সরিয়ে দিয়েছিলেন|
KJV : Now Samuel was dead, and all Israel had lamented him, and buried him in Ramah, even in his own city. And Saul had put away those that had familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land.
YLT : And Samuel hath died, and all Israel mourn for him, and bury him in Ramah, even in his city, and Saul hath turned aside those having familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land.
RV : Now Samuel was dead, and all Israel had lamented him, and buried him in Ramah, even in his own city. And Saul had put away those that had familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land.

ESV : Now Samuel had died, and all Israel had mourned for him and buried him in Ramah, his own city. And Saul had put the mediums and the necromancers out of the land.
ERVEN : After Samuel died, all the Israelites mourned for him and buried him in Ramah, his hometown. Saul had removed the mediums and fortunetellers from Israel.

KJV : And the Philistines gathered themselves together, and came and pitched in Shunem: and Saul gathered all Israel together, and they pitched in Gilboa.

BNV : পলেষ্টীয় সৈন্যদের দেখে শৌল ভয় পেয়ে গেলেন| ভয়ে তাঁর বুক কাঁপতে লাগ|
KJV : And when Saul saw the host of the Philistines, he was afraid, and his heart greatly trembled.
YLT : and Saul seeth the camp of the Philistines, and feareth, and his heart trembleth greatly,
RV : And when Saul saw the host of the Philistines, he was afraid, and his heart trembled greatly.

BNV : শৌল, প্রভুর কাছে প্রার্থনা করলেন| কিন্তু প্রভু সে প্রার্থনার কোন উত্তর দিলেন না| স্বপ্নের মধ্যেও ঈশ্বর শৌলকে কিছু বললেন না| ঊরীমের দ্বারাও ঈশ্বর উত্তর দিলেন না| কোনো ভাববাদীর মাধ্যমেও ঈশ্বর শৌলের উদ্দেশ্যে কোন বাণী শোনালেন না|
KJV : And when Saul enquired of the LORD, the LORD answered him not, neither by dreams nor by Urim, nor by prophets.
YLT : and Saul asketh at Jehovah, and Jehovah hath not answered him, either by dreams, or by Urim, or by prophets.
RV : And when Saul inquired of the LORD, the LORD answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets.

ERVEN : He prayed to the Lord, but the Lord did not answer him. God did not talk to Saul in dreams. God did not use the Urim to give him an answer, and God did not use prophets to speak to Saul.

BNV : অবশেষে, শৌল তাঁর আধিকারিকদের বললেন, “একজন স্ত্রীলোকের খোঁজ কর যে একজন প্রেতাত্মার মাধ্যম| তাকে জিজ্ঞেস করব যুদ্ধে কি হতে পারে|”তারা বলল, “ঐন্-দোরে এরকম একজন আছে|”
KJV : Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and enquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, [there is] a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor.
YLT : And Saul saith to his servants, `Seek for me a woman possessing a familiar spirit, and I go unto her, and inquire of her;` and his servants say unto him, `Lo, a woman possessing a familiar spirit in En-dor.`
RV : Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and inquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at En-dor.
RSV : Then Saul said to his servants, "Seek out for me a woman who is a medium, that I may go to her and inquire of her." And his servants said to him, "Behold, there is a medium at Endor."
ASV : Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and inquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at En-dor.
ESV : Then Saul said to his servants, "Seek out for me a woman who is a medium, that I may go to her and inquire of her." And his servants said to him, "Behold, there is a medium at En-dor."
ERVEN : Finally, Saul said to his officers, "Find me a woman who is a medium. Then I can go ask her what will happen." His officers answered, "There is a medium at Endor. "

BNV : শৌল নানারকম পোশাকে সাজলেন যাতে কেউ তাঁকে চিনতে না পারে| সেই রাত্রে শৌল দুজন লোক নিয়ে সেই স্ত্রীলোকটিকে দেখতে গেলেন| তারপর তার দেখা পেয়ে শৌল বললেন, “আমি চাই তুমি একা আত্মাকে উঠিযে আন| সে আমায় ভবিষ্যতে কি হবে না হবে তা বলবে| আমি যার নাম বলব তুমি তাকে ডেকে আনবে|”
KJV : And Saul disguised himself, and put on other raiment, and he went, and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night: and he said, I pray thee, divine unto me by the familiar spirit, and bring me [him] up, whom I shall name unto thee.
YLT : And Saul disguiseth himself and putteth on other garments, and goeth, he and two of the men with him, and they come in unto the woman by night, and he saith, `Divine, I pray thee, to me by the familiar spirit, and cause to come up to me him whom I say unto thee.`

ERVEN : That night, Saul put on different clothes so that no one would know who he was. Then Saul and two of his men went to see the woman. Saul said to her, "I want you to bring up a ghost who can tell me what will happen in the future. You must call for the ghost of the person I name."

BNV : সেই স্ত্রীলোকটি বলল, “শৌল যা করেছেন তার সবই আপনি জানেন| তিনি তো ইস্রায়েলের থেকে সব জ্যোতিষী আর ভূত নামানো মাধ্যমদের জোর করে তাড়িয়ে দিয়েছেন| আপনি আমায় আসলে ফাঁদে ফেলে মেরে ফেলতে চাইছেন|”
KJV : And the woman said unto him, Behold, thou knowest what Saul hath done, how he hath cut off those that have familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land: wherefore then layest thou a snare for my life, to cause me to die?
YLT : And the woman saith unto him, `Lo, thou hast known that which Saul hath done, that he hath cut off those having familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land; and why art thou laying a snare for my soul -- to put me to death?`
RV : And the woman said unto him, Behold, thou knowest what Saul hath done, how he hath cut off those that have familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land: wherefore then layest thou a snare for my life, to cause me to die?
RSV : The woman said to him, "Surely you know what Saul has done, how he has cut off the mediums and the wizards from the land. Why then are you laying a snare for my life to bring about my death?"

ERVEN : But the woman said to him, "You know that Saul forced all of the mediums and fortunetellers to leave the land of Israel. You are trying to trap me and kill me."

BNV : শৌল প্রভুর নামে শপথ করে সেই স্ত্রীলোকটিকে বললেন, “প্রভুর দিব্য দিয়ে বলছি যে তুমি এর জন্যে শাস্তি ভোগ করবে না|”
KJV : And Saul sware to her by the LORD, saying, [As] the LORD liveth, there shall no punishment happen to thee for this thing.
YLT : And Saul sweareth to her by Jehovah, saying, `Jehovah liveth, punishment doth not meet thee for this thing.`
RV : And Saul sware to her by the LORD, saying, As the LORD liveth, there shall no punishment happen to thee for this thing.
RSV : But Saul swore to her by the LORD, "As the LORD lives, no punishment shall come upon you for this thing."
ASV : And Saul sware to her by Jehovah, saying, As Jehovah liveth, there shall no punishment happen to thee for this thing.
ESV : But Saul swore to her by the LORD, "As the LORD lives, no punishment shall come upon you for this thing."
ERVEN : Saul used the Lord's name to make a promise to the woman. He said, "As surely as the Lord lives, you won't be punished for doing this."

BNV : স্ত্রীলোকটি বলল, “আপনার জন্য কাকে এনে দিতে হবে?”শৌল বললেন, “শমূয়েলকে উঠিযে আন|”
KJV : Then said the woman, Whom shall I bring up unto thee? And he said, Bring me up Samuel.
YLT : And the woman saith, `Whom do I bring up to thee?` and he saith, `Samuel -- bring up to me.`
RV : Then said the woman, Whom shall I bring up unto thee? And he said, Bring me up Samuel.
RSV : Then the woman said, "Whom shall I bring up for you?" He said, "Bring up Samuel for me."
ASV : Then said the woman, Whom shall I bring up unto thee? And he said, Bring me up Samuel.
ESV : Then the woman said, "Whom shall I bring up for you?" He said, "Bring up Samuel for me."
ERVEN : The woman asked, "Who do you want me to bring up for you?" Saul answered, "Bring up Samuel."

BNV : তাই হল| স্ত্রীলোকটি শমূয়েলকে দেখতে পেয়ে চিত্কার করে উঠল| সে শৌলকে বলল, “তুমি আমাকে প্রতারণা করেছ, তুমিই তো শৌল|”
KJV : And when the woman saw Samuel, she cried with a loud voice: and the woman spake to Saul, saying, Why hast thou deceived me? for thou [art] Saul.
YLT : And the woman seeth Samuel, and crieth with a loud voice, and the woman speaketh unto Saul, saying, `Why hast thou deceived me -- and thou Saul?`
RV : And when the woman saw Samuel, she cried with a loud voice: and the woman spake to Saul, saying, Why hast thou deceived me? for thou art Saul.
RSV : When the woman saw Samuel, she cried out with a loud voice; and the woman said to Saul, "Why have you deceived me? You are Saul."
ASV : And when the woman saw Samuel, she cried with a loud voice; and the woman spake to Saul, saying, Why hast thou deceived me? for thou art Saul.
ESV : When the woman saw Samuel, she cried out with a loud voice. And the woman said to Saul, "Why have you deceived me? You are Saul."
ERVEN : And it happened—the woman saw Samuel and screamed. She said to Saul, "You tricked me! You are Saul."

BNV : রাজা সেই স্ত্রীলোকটিকে বলল, “ভয় পেও না| তুমি কি দেখছ?”স্ত্রীলোকটি বলল, “আমি দেখছি একটা আত্মা ভূমি থেকে উঠে আসছে|”
KJV : And the king said unto her, Be not afraid: for what sawest thou? And the woman said unto Saul, I saw gods ascending out of the earth.
YLT : And the king saith to her, `Do not fear; for what hast thou seen?` and the woman saith unto Saul, `Gods I have seen coming up out of the earth.`
RV : And the king said unto her, Be not afraid: for what seest thou? And the woman said unto Saul, I see a god coming up out of the earth.
RSV : The king said to her, "Have no fear; what do you see?" And the woman said to Saul, "I see a god coming up out of the earth."
ASV : And the king said unto her, Be not afraid: for what seest thou? And the woman said unto Saul, I see a god coming up out of the earth.
ESV : The king said to her, "Do not be afraid. What do you see?" And the woman said to Saul, "I see a god coming up out of the earth."
ERVEN : The king said to the woman, "Don't be afraid! What do you see?" The woman said, "I see a spirit coming up out of the ground. "

BNV : শৌল বলল, “তাকে কার মতো দেখতে?” স্ত্রীলোকটি বলল, “তাকে দেখতে বিশেষ পোশাক পরা একজন বৃদ্ধলোকের মতো|”শৌল বুঝতে পারলেন উনি হচ্ছেন শমূয়েল| শৌল মাথা নোযালেন| মাটিতে উপুড় হয়ে শুয়ে পড়লেন|
KJV : And he said unto her, What form [is] he of? And she said, An old man cometh up; and he [is] covered with a mantle. And Saul perceived that it [was] Samuel, and he stooped with [his] face to the ground, and bowed himself.
YLT : And he saith to her, `What [is] his form?` and she saith, `An aged man is coming up, and he [is] covered with an upper robe;` and Saul knoweth that he [is] Samuel, and boweth -- face to thee earth -- and doth obeisance.
RV : And he said unto her, What form is he of? And she said, An old man cometh up; and he is covered with a robe. And Saul perceived that it was Samuel, and he bowed with his face to the ground, and did obeisance.
RSV : He said to her, "What is his appearance?" And she said, "An old man is coming up; and he is wrapped in a robe." And Saul knew that it was Samuel, and he bowed with his face to the ground, and did obeisance.
ASV : And he said unto her, What form is he of? And she said, An old man cometh up; and he is covered with a robe. And Saul perceived that it was Samuel, and he bowed with his face to the ground, and did obeisance.
ESV : He said to her, "What is his appearance?" And she said, "An old man is coming up, and he is wrapped in a robe." And Saul knew that it was Samuel, and he bowed with his face to the ground and paid homage.
ERVEN : Saul asked, "What does he look like?" The woman answered, "He looks like an old man wearing a special robe." Then Saul knew it was Samuel, and he bowed down. His face touched the ground.

BNV : শমূয়েল শৌলকে বলল, “তুমি কেন আমাকে বিরক্ত করছ? কেন আমাকে তুলে আনলে?”শৌল বললেন, “আমি বিপদে পড়েছি| পলেষ্টীয়রা আমার বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করতে এসেছে, কিন্তু ঈশ্বর আমায় ত্যাগ করেছেন| তিনি আমার ডাকে আর সাড়া দিচ্ছেন না| কোনো ভাববাদী বা কোনো স্বপ্নের মধ্যে দিয়েও তিনি উত্তর দিচ্ছেন না| তাই আমি আপনাকে ডেকেছি| আপনি বলুন আমাকে কি করতে হবে?”
KJV : And Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me up? And Saul answered, I am sore distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God is departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by prophets, nor by dreams: therefore I have called thee, that thou mayest make known unto me what I shall do.
YLT : And Samuel saith unto Saul, `Why hast thou troubled me, to bring me up?` And Saul saith, `I have great distress, and the Philistines are fighting against me, God hath turned aside from me, and hath not answered me any more, either by the hand of the prophets, or by dreams; and I call for thee to let me know what I do.`
RV : And Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me up? And Saul answered, I am sore distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God is departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by prophets, nor by dreams: therefore I have called thee, that thou mayest make known unto me what I shall do.

Saul answered, "I am in great distress; for the Philistines are warring against me, and God has turned away from me and answers me no more, either by prophets or by dreams; therefore I have summoned you to tell me what I shall do."
ASV : And Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me up? And Saul answered, I am sore distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God is departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by prophets, nor by dreams: therefore I have called thee, that thou mayest make known unto me what I shall do.
ESV : Then Samuel said to Saul, "Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up?" Saul answered, "I am in great distress, for the Philistines are warring against me, and God has turned away from me and answers me no more, either by prophets or by dreams. Therefore I have summoned you to tell me what I shall do."
ERVEN : Samuel said to Saul, "Why did you bother me? Why did you bring me up?" Saul answered, "I am in trouble! The Philistines have come to fight me, and God has left me. God won't answer me anymore. He won't use prophets or dreams to answer me, so I called you. I want you to tell me what to do."

BNV : শমূয়েল বললেন, “প্রভু তোমায় ত্যাগ করেছেন| তিনি এখন তোমার প্রতিবেশী (দাযূদের) কাছে| তবে কেন আমায় জ্বালাতন করছ?
KJV : Then said Samuel, Wherefore then dost thou ask of me, seeing the LORD is departed from thee, and is become thine enemy?
YLT : And Samuel saith, `And why dost thou ask me, and Jehovah hath turned aside from thee, and is thine enemy?
RV : And Samuel said, Wherefore then dost thou ask of me, seeing the LORD is departed from thee, and is become thine adversary?
RSV : And Samuel said, "Why then do you ask me, since the LORD has turned from you and become your enemy?
ASV : And Samuel said, Wherefore then dost thou ask of me, seeing Jehovah is departed from thee, and is become thine adversary?
ESV : And Samuel said, "Why then do you ask me, since the LORD has turned from you and become your enemy?
ERVEN : Samuel said, "The Lord left you and is now your enemy, so why are you asking me for advice?

BNV : আমার মাধ্যমে প্রভু তোমাকে জানিয়েছেন তিনি কি করবেন| এখন তিনি তাঁর কথা অনুযায়ীকাজ করছেন| তিনি তোমার হাত থেকে রাজত্ব কেড়ে নিচ্ছেন| তিনি তোমার একজন প্রতিবেশীকে সেই রাজ্য সমর্পণ করছেন| সেই প্রতিবেশীর নাম দায়ূদ|
KJV : And the LORD hath done to him, as he spake by me: for the LORD hath rent the kingdom out of thine hand, and given it to thy neighbour, [even] to David:
YLT : And Jehovah doth for Himself as He hath spoken by my hand, and Jehovah rendeth the kingdom out of thy hand, and giveth it to thy neighbour -- to David.
RV : And the LORD hath wrought for himself, as he spake by me: and the LORD hath rent the kingdom out of thine hand, and given it to thy neighbour, even to David.
RSV : The LORD has done to you as he spoke by me; for the LORD has torn the kingdom out of your hand, and given it to your neighbor, David.
ASV : And Jehovah hath done unto thee, as he spake by me: and Jehovah hath rent the kingdom out of thy hand, and given it to thy neighbor, even to David.
ESV : The LORD has done to you as he spoke by me, for the LORD has torn the kingdom out of your hand and given it to your neighbor, David.
ERVEN : The Lord used me to tell you what he would do, and now he is doing what he said he would do. He is tearing the kingdom out of your hands and giving it to your neighbor, David.

BNV : তুমি প্রভুর কথা মান্য করো নি| তুমি অমালেকীয়দের ধ্বংস করো নি এবং তাদের দেখাও নি যে প্রভু তাদের ওপর কত ক্রুদ্ধ ছিলেন| তাই তিনি তোমার সঙ্গে এমন ব্যবহার করছেন|

ERVEN : The woman came over to Saul and saw how scared he was. She said, "Look, I am your servant. I have obeyed you. I risked my life and did what you told me to do.
